Hi Guys, I hope everyone is having a good weekend. Yesterday I was in Ladbroke Grove with my friend Femi and we passed by People's Sound record store which stood out to me particularly in the street with it's colourful bold frontline, playing old skool reggae beats.

Perfect backdrop and perfect for this outfit of the day post.

Trend: Recreate Rhianna's Double Denim Look for Less

I am totally digging the Double Denim Look. It's one of my favourite looks ever. Particularly as you can match different colour denim and fabrics together to create an individual look. Rhianna has been sporting this trend of lately and she kicks ass.

See how you can recreate the look using pieces from the high street below:-

1.Faux Leather Cap: £2.99 H&M
2: Moto Short Sleeve Box Shirt: £30 Topshop
3: Coloured Crystal Necklace: £19.99 Zara
4: Ripped Denim Pencil Skirt: £29.99
5: Nude High Heeled Vamp Shoe: £69.99

Everything mentioned is available to buy now.

Pointers: What I love about the Ripped denim skirt that you can distress it further to create the same look as per Rhianna's own for that extra effect. I also am a sucker for jewellery and this coloured crystal necklace is just perfect. It can be dressed up and down and will defiantly give a statement on a chic white shirt. The detail on the High Vamp Shoe is absolutely divine, show some toe cleavage.

What do you think? Are you down with Double Denim?

I will be entering soley for Cocktails in New York. Peep below for my entry.

Dress £52.99 / Clutch £19.99 / Shoes £39.99 / Bracelet £3.80 = £115.78

New York has been my ultimate dream destination for as long as I can remember. I am actually surprised that I haven't visited yet. When I think of NYC I think of flashing lights, tall rising buildings, roof tops, shopping, Sex and the City, brunch, lush food + bar outlets, open spaces and landmarks.

The outfit which I've opted for cocktails would be this dress with the symmetrical cut stepped hem detail which I adore.
Keeping the focal point on the dress and teaming with bright accessories to make it pop. The box clutch will be the perfect companion as it's on trend with the transparent clear theme and the orange ties in nicely with the shoes. Also the shoes have their own statement with the Ikat print in fun bold colours. The bracelet also gives a nice show stopping touch to the outfit.

Kurt Geiger & Vogue Secret Garden Party Event

On Thursday evening, I attended the Kurt Geiger and Vogue Secret Summer Garden Party with my bestie Maureen.

The event took place at the Kurt Geiger Covent Garden store. An evening of shoes strawberries and cream, lolly pop cake sticks, a game of croquet, pimms cocktails, nails inc manicures were highlights of the evening, What more can you possibly wish for!!

Vogue's Executive Retail editor Emily Zak gave an exciting talk on this SS13 key shoe trends to look out for and how they tie in with the current trends of the season.

She mentioned Sports Luxe, Mesh, Animal Print, Metallics, Iridescent, New Woman, Strappy Sandals, Dolly shoes.

A video of this will be uploaded soon. (Check out later as I will be adding the video in this post) For the mean-time enjoy the pics.

My favourite pairs of shoes on display were the "Isabella"(£195) croc print leather sandal with a dinky ankle strap and block heel. So sexy and chic along with "Aster"(£130) which includes a perspex block heel and chunky raw cut leather straps. The detailing is perfect. The wedged jelly shoes were also prime perfect.

Optical Illusion Print Digital Dress: H&M Trend
Shirt: Primark
Coat + Box bag: Zara
Converse: Office
Necklace + Rings: H&M
Nail Polish: Essie - Bikini so teeny

Here's what I wore yesterday to Kurt Geiger + Vogue Summer Garden Party ( more details in a separate post)

Whenever I buy items; I always think about multiple ways of how I can wear an item. This dress I purchased last year at H&M to wear for a party; dolled up with a pair of ankle strapped shoes.

Now instead of the dress catching dust in the wardrobe I thought how can I wear it for day time and (snap) to layer perfect with a white sleeved long shirt underneath. ( Also a white short sleeved shirt will also work too)

Nowadays I like to add converse with everything. I have a few pairs of the white canvas shoe which I just adore. Comfy chic is the way I like it; particularly as I'm walking everywhere in this city. lol

I also got to showcase my number one bag candy at the moment. This neon yellow box bag from Zara ties in nicely with the print in my dress that I had to wear it together.

New In: Messenger Box Bag

The moment I laid my eyes on this bag earlier this month. I knew right then and then, I had to have it.

It is truly the epitome of spring.. It's such a lovely shade of neon yellow, compact bag with several compartments and a long strap. It's now available in 2 colour ways (Green and most recent Blue)

The bag sits on my beautiful floral skirt which I got from warehouse.(A few seasons ago) I love the detailing on this skirt.
